Especially in acquisition campaigns it happens that we use the import data feature to add new person, organization, deal, activity for hundreds of records all at once.
The lists we import sometimes include organizations we are already in touch with and that we don't want to push into our acquisition process but unfortunately their name is not written exactly as we saved it in Pipedrive. Therefore this records pass the duplicates check run during the import data process as we don't have other fields to help this check be more effective.
The result is that we have to go though a long process of matching our current contacts in Pipedrive with every new list we want to import. This needs to be done outside Pipedrive using for example Excel or Numbers.
It would be amazing if Pipedrive could run a similarity check on the database as an intermidiate step while importing data.
