On our end I can tell you that we've been working on a feature that will allow you to do just that - fetch and qualify leads from visitors to your website. It's not out yet, but you can get a preview here: Web Visitors feature (Beta).

The idea is to create a person first, with all these details captured under the person field, and then, if required, create the deal.
