These days the messaging apps such as Whatsapp and Telegram have become very popular for many in the sales process. From contacts and leads coming in, to the actual client/prospect communications. It would be very nice if PipeDrive offered an out of the box integration with these type of platforms (similar to the slack integration that is offered). Other CRM's such as Amo CRM have offered this for some time now.
The use case would be the ability to create a new contact from a whatsapp/telegram chat, or link to an existing contact, and create new deals (or link to existing deals) and have the chat conversation or if possible even the voice chat conversations get rolled over to PipeDrive in that deal. This would make life A LOT easier in terms of tracking and follow ups and having everything in one place as we currently have the e-mail communications.0 -
Thank you for sharing, making sure this reaches the desks of the right people in Pipedrive!

I can see that Facebook Messenger is something you guys are working on. I think that Whatsapp should be of your top priorities since it's a very big channel for most of us, I have tried everything in terms of marketplace products but nothing where you can trigger automated messages & respond back. The main issue is that when the whole customer data (Orders are ) here the actual agent doesn't have that access because they most probably would be using intercom or LiveChat or Zensupport. It would be amazing if you guys could build something around an omnichannel 5 way with the phone- WhatsApp - text - email - etc. in the leads section justing adding on to the chatbot and chat which in my point of view is amazing work

Hi all,
An update on this. We're working on an inbox for Pipedrive where you can gather all messages with your customers including for example email, Whatsapp, Facebook messenger and potential other channels in the future.

@Mike van der Valk Could you please provide an update on the progress of implementing this feature?

Hi @Aleksandr
Unfortunately this beta feature never made it to the general availability. In our testing phases there wasn't enough user interest and proof this was the right functionality our the general user base had interest in.
Currently for social media inboxes we recommend to use integrations in the marketplace, for example: TimelinesAI and WABA integration for Whatsapp and the Facebook Messenger integration
I realise this is probably not the answer you were hoping for and I will however forward your feedback to our team in case we might explore the area again in the future.
Have a great week

Hi, @Mike van der Valk
1. Integrating external tools impacts data confidentiality. It's very difficult to investigate such incidents.- 2. In many Asian countries, people use Facebook Marketplace as the primary sales tool, and messengers have long surpassed email as the means of communication with customers. For example, in the Philippines, everyone uses Viber; in Kazakhstan, WhatsApp; in Russia, Telegram; in Vietnam, Zalo, and so on. There aren’t many major messengers, and if you want to stay competitive, you need to develop your product. Look at your competitors like Zoho – they have everything in their ecosystem without external plugins.
- 3. As for user feedback, I highly doubt that you are analyzing it correctly. Evidence of this is that it’s impossible to work with pipelines with more than 10 stages, and everyone uses external meeting calendars – this doesn’t bother you either, although it looks disgraceful.
