Follow-up email workflow automation

Does anyone know if it's possible to create an automation that will send a follow-up email to deals in different stages when there's been no activity in a set number of days? For example, if there's been no activity on several deals for 45 days I'd like a simple follow-up email to go out to the primary contact automatically, then send me an email that they were sent out.

Is this possible? It sure would be useful.
