How to preserve won status of a deal, that was lost after some time?

I run a subscription-based business, and such businesses have churn, meaning we lost some of the deals that are previously won.

What should I do with a deal that I won and, let's say, after 12 months, is lost? Please mind that if I change its status to lost, reports will lose the crucial information that the deal was earlier won. Losing this won status results in incorrect reporting of conversion and perhaps other important statistics.

So how to preserve both the won and lost status of the deal for reporting purposes?

    Hi Maciej!

What you have going on here, is a bit complex. I will try to explain my thought process and you can reply with more information.

If you "won" a deal, but later on churn it, then it's a lost deal? If it is a lost deal, then it should be marked as a lost deal. If you want conversions on "How many clients did I get from this marketing campaign that brought money in" then the client that churned shouldn't be there anyway. I would set them up with a specific "Lost Reason" that could be filtered normally or in insights later on.

    Hello Andre,

If you "won" a deal, but later on churn it, then it's a lost deal? If it is a lost deal, then it should be marked as a lost deal.

If I mark it lost then Pipedrive will lose the information, that this deal was previously won.

I want conversion of won deals. To have it, I can't change their status to lost when they churn.

So what should I do with churned deals?
