Reliable Customer Number mapping
Hi all,
i'm looking for any ideas how to map customer numbers reliably. We want to move from an old system to Pipedrive, one of the reasons being we don't have any reliable customer numbers. In many cases, a single debtor numbers are used for multiple vendor doors, and there is no reliable way to map these numbers into other systems.
The customer numbers in Pipedrive itself are not helpful, as they start with 1 and count onward. Therefore i was hoping someone had a recommendation to implement uniquely identifiable customer numbers. Is there a function to hash the customer name into a clearly identifiable dataset, i.e 32 hexadecimal characters. Or any other tips how to deal with customer number mapping?
