Unable to see next and previous activity in Organization view columns

I am somehow unable to see my previous and next activity dates in the organization and people list. I can see that activities are there associated with the organization ( on the organization details page ) but for the same organization, the next and previous activity column is empty in the organization grid view.

Amazingly, for some records they are visible and for some, they are not.

Can someone help?
