Why is New Organization not a trigger

I'm new to PD. Imported everything as a new organization. When I meet someone and get their info I put in as New Organization and put the contact person's info in. All I see are options for New Lead triggers. Am I putting this in incorrectly? I've got 450 Organizations and no "leads"

What's the difference between lead and Organization?

I'm trying to create workflow automation but everything deals with leads. Any helpful comments out there?

    You should enter them as leads.


    You can have multiple leads from the same organization/person.

    So then how do I convert or move the 450+ organizations to leads?
