Win Vs Lost

Hello, I have an upcoming deal for a client who is not ready to move forward with my marketing services yet. He needs to get his product finalized and is likely to work with me in the future. I marked the deal as lost, but should I leave it open or what is the best practice here?

    I have a stage for these types that I leave open with rot set for 30 days. If nothing happens in 30 days I mark it lost.

    Keeps it on my radar but after 30 days with no activity it's lost in my opinion.
