Hey, Pipedrive Community! 👋

We are currently improving the ability to automate email & activity sequences, by adding a new Wait for condition step.

🚀 What is Wait for condition step?

Enables you to set up automations that wait for something to happen, and continue a sequence after that is true. If not, and the maximum checking time has expired, the automation stops.

Examples of use cases:

  • Deal created > create activity > as soon as the activity is marked as done within 5 days > create activity
  • Deal moved to stage X > send email > as soon as the email is replied within 5 days > send email

🚀 Who has access?

The Wait for condition step is now available to all customers in Advanced above plans.

Yes please! This would be great to our organisation - we currently have to use zapier for some automations but once this is live we will be able to use this! Thanks

@Nuno Oliveira I've just tried this out. I've created an automation with the trigger 'Renewal date updated' - this is when an organisation level custom field (date field) is updated. What I wanted to do was then add a 'wait for' step to be 'wait for the renewal date' or 'wait for 60 days before the renewal date' to perform the action 'create deal' for the renewal. But it's telling me I need to create an action before I can use the wait for step - is this right?

Hi @Emma Melling! That is correct. For the scenario you mention the Wait for condition step is not a good fit. We plan to work on this need to trigger actions based on date fields later this year. I'll be updating our progress here in the community.
