Deal comments preview looks UGLY after redesign

I always get a little nervous when companies 'tinkle' with the looks and design of a platform.
Take a look at this before and after screenshot of a Pipedrive Deal comment feed.
Now the comments feed is no longer easy to skim-read down, as all of the text formatting is disregarded in the preview. It looks a mess. How is this an improvement?
