Increasing the calculated fields' capabilities

The calculated field "automation" is very useful when trying to streamline entries of leads that need some sort of basic calculation for multiple fields. However, I can assume that a lot of companies use far more intense calculations for certain fields, usually monetary ones. It is both very difficult to copy a formula into the calculated field by hand, and sometimes too complicated for it to even understand. I suggest that there are more mathematical operations, like exponents for example, and add the ability to directly link variables to certain fields instead of having to type/add the field itself into the calculation.
