Forecasting Revenue against Budget

Hi

Can anyone help me or have come up with an idea on how you can set your target revenue then view your forecasting revenue against this.

It seems a simple yet important function in sales yet I can't work out how it can be done.

The goal function does not work for this.

Thank you in advance

    Hi @Cotton1801 -

Have you tried doing a Forecast Goal report? Click to add a new "Goal" then select "Forecast" and "Revenue Forecast." You can't get as granular in the reporting as in a "Forecast and subscription" --> "Revenue forecast" report (for example selecting between the deal weighted value or the actual deal value), but you can then at least forecast against a goal.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you Liz for your response

That won't work for me as we aren't benchmarking against the individual deal, there is a field where they select which site the deal goes to.

What we would like to do is put our budget figure in then see how far that site is off the budget, which is an accumulation of many deals for the said month.

For example the target for November is £500k the forecast report shows we are short for that month - it is where that £500k shows....

    Any further suggestions gratefully received!

@Cotton1801 thanks for the additional details. I don't know of a way to get that report in Pipedrive since, as you've seen, Goals can only be based on Deal Ownership rather than a custom field. Your best best is probably going to be to port the data from Pipedrive over to another system (e.g. using Webhooks) and create the reports there. You could do it in Google Sheet / Google Data Studio or something more sophisticated like Tableau.

    Hi @Cotton1801,

I would suggest considering building a data pipeline using Coupler. You can then visualize the data from Google Sheets using Tableau or Looker Studio, or even Google Sheets. You can read more about building a data pipeline for Pipedrive in this article.

    Best,

    Amit
