Automations not functioning as I'd expect
I created an automation that is set up how I understood automations to be.
Essentially the configuration goes:
1: Deal Updated
2: Deal Stage has changed to (stage name)
3: Send Email
4: Create Activity (Call)
5: Instant Condition (Activity status is Done: Activity 4).
6: Delay for 1 day (skip weekends)
7: Create Activity (Call)
and so on,
What is happening is, the email from stage 3 and call from stage 4 will trigger but nothing moves forward after I mark the call from stage 4 as done. Am I misunderstanding how this works, I would have assumed that once I completed that activity, waited a day, then stage 7 would have fired and created a call for me. Where am I going wrong?

You need to set up a separate workflow from Step 5 onwards.

I break down creating this type of activity sequence in this video. Around minute 4:45 (here) I show exactly how to create the automation based on an activity being marked as complete, using the Activity Subject to find the activity.
