Help please! How can I update the "won time"?
Hi - I have the essentials plan - I hope this isn't a limitation. The Insights tab came prepopulated with the "deals won over time" report, but no data. I have 4 won deals in October, nothing showing up. I did some research & saw the report is based partly on "won time" and so I tried to update that field in each Deal. It was not there, but I was able to go into the settings and add the field. However, when I try to update the won time field w/ a date in the Deals list view, it won't let me. Help! I want to see the deals won over time ! :)

You will have to check if you have the edit rights to update won time. You don't have to add a custom field for it.
If you do, you can change it from the deals list view or from the deal details view too.

Thanks Amit - I definitely have the rights as I'm the only one using pipedrive. The field was not there to start, so I had to add it & it's giving me an error when I try to enter the date. I have the essentials plan - but I thought this would be a basic field included with all plans, so not sure that's the issue.

Amit is correct, Won Time is a default system field, so you do not need a custom field for this.

Hi all - I really appreciate your trying to help me and thoughtful responses & walking me through things. However, the problem is that I cannot update the "won time" field. I've taken a screen shot - see that when I add in the date, I get the error message. So I can't ever enter the date in the first place. So therefore I can't see the chart.... any thoughts with this now?

Looks like a permissions issue.

Check the permissions, even if you are the admin.

Hi @cfenwick - Thank you for the screenshot! I think the issue is that you're not marking deals as "Won" in the way that Pipedrive requires. Please check out this 2-minute video

@Liz (Ops Designed) LIZ! THANK YOU!! That was it!! I had no idea I wasn't technically marking them as "won" - I moved them into the "won" column in the flow but I guess that didn't technically do it. So I did that and now it works. Thanks so much for diagnosing & for sending the personalized video - that was perfect! 😃
