Keeping leads separate from contacts.

I am looking to import leads on a regular basis, but do no want to add them as a contact/organization until I have qualified them. Is this possible? Seems like when I import the lead they are also added as a contact.

The architecture that Pipedrive follows for Leads doesn't allow that.

I wish it followed what Zendesk Sell does.
