Synch Automated Campaigns and Automations with “Last email sent” date
We use Automated Campaigns and Automations extensively.
When we send an Automated Campaign via an Automation, we can see the Campaign emails and dates sent on each contact record, but the “Last email sent” date is not updated to reflect that the Contact was, in fact, sent an email via Campaign+Automation.
Currently, only emails sent directly using the email composer or email sync trigger the "Last email sent" data field update.
Is it possible for the “Last email sent” date to be updated with the most recent email date, regardless of the trigger/source? It would really help keep track of communications and minimize overlap errors, which are already tricky 🌞

This is expected behavior, in Pipedrive email campaigns are looked at differently than emails sent via email sync so unfortunately, it is not possible to have an email sent from a campaign update the "last email sent" field.
However, I did want to note that you can use filters to isolate certain contacts based on campaign conditions from your contact list view, in case that helps!

We understand that it is "expected behavior" from a Pipedrive platform perspective as no doubt these two aspects of email sending are siloed due to different development needs, pathways, and timelines...
But it's not expected behavior from a user or contact perspective - an email is an email, regardless of the source or mechanism...from our perspective, we would just like to know when the last email with a contact from any mechanism was without having to go to multiple places in Pipedrive - a single truth if you will for the most recent email sent.
Technically then at the least, "Last Email Sent" should be renamed to "Last Synch Email Sent" as that is more descriptive of the actual data, and then add a new date attribution field and a column option called "Last Campaign Email sent"
Seems to us that this would be pretty easy to add to the next "sprint" and a reasonable option until there is a closer merge of sync/campaign email dates/statuses
So yes, please forward to the product team - would be great to see it appear one day 🌞
