New: Field descriptions + field stats đź“ť
Hey Pipedrivers đź‘‹
This February, we’re releasing a few updates to custom fields, making them easier both for Admin users to manage and regular users to fill out:
Field descriptions – Advanced plan and above
Available on the Advanced plan and beyond. Admin users can now set a description on the Lead/Deal type fields to let other users know what to add to that field.
Field stats – All plans
Admin users can see where a custom field is being used and also information on whether data will be lost if they delete the field. This will help keep track of changes to fields and prevent accidental data deletion by deleting a custom field.
Both updates will be gradually released to customers throughout February 2024

Hi, it would be nice to get a description/tooltip for each field (standard and custom) in Contacts and Organizations. As we have many users in our Pipedrive team, some of them misuse the [academic title] and put e.g. "Prof. Dr." in [job title]. Thanks

Great update. Can we please extend these field descriptions to the rest of the data fields? It would be really helpful in Orgs, Constants, and Products.

This is great for deals, but we have loads of custom fields in ORGS and PEOPLE so really need it there too... is this in the pipeline?

Ditto to the above, need in Orgs and People as well.

We REALLY need this for Orgs and People. When will Pipedrive be rolling that out?!

++ and PROJECTS please!
Generally speaking would be great to align features in projects custum fields to those of deals, organisations and people.
Thanks!

This would be great if it could be applied to the pipeline stages as well. Our pipeline is tailored to a manufacturing/sales process. It would help current and new users to clearly understand what deals belong in a particular stage and what doesn't.
