It would be great if one had the option to update the prices for products attached to a specific deal, e.g. by pressing a button (see example screenshot below).

Use case:

  • Sales rep. creates/edits a Deal in Pipedrive, and attaches products to deal (e.g. with 25 positions), then creates a quotation using SmartDocs feature.
  • Given that the unit prices of products often change, validity of the quotation is 30 days.
  • After 45 days, the client requests an update to the offer.

Current method:

  • Sales rep. either verifies changes in prices for each of the 25 products added to Deal, by browsing the product catalog, and updates the unit prices where needed, or
  • Sales rep. deletes all products added to deal and reattaches them, in order to have updated unit prices.

Feature request:

  • Sales rep. opens the "Add products to deal" view
  • Sales rep. pushes the button "Update unit prices"
  • System gets the updated unit prices from the product catalog, overrides the unit prices attached to Deal and updates subtotals and totals.

Of course the availability of the button could be optional (setup in Settings).

Any chance this might be considered in the future?

Hi @Mike B. thanks for the update! While not in the plans for the immediate future, it is an interesting use case I’ll be happy to bring to our product team’s attention for you.

Hi there. Until this feature would be developed (or in case it won't), I have identified a workaround, might someone else need this feature too.

Basically one needs to have more than one currency associated to the account. If there is only one, one would need to add a second one, even if it won't be used for prices.

Then, in the "Add products to deal" view, go and change the currency from the current one (EUR in the screenshot posted above) to another one, and then switch back to the initial one. As a result, all unit prices get pulled/updated from the system.
