New: Possibility to delete deactivated users
In the user management feature, under the deactivated users tab, it is now possible to permanently delete deactivated users.
What exactly has changed?
- It is possible (after user has been deactivated) to delete the user entirely from the account. This means, the user's personal information (name, email, profile picture, phone number) are deleted. The user name is substituted with (deleted user). NB! The deletion will only delete the users personal details, all items will still stay in the account. For more information what data is deleted/unsynced during deactivation process and during deletion process, please check out this new article in Knowledge Base.
- During the deactivation flow and deletion flow, we now give the opportunity to bulk transfer all open items (open deals, contacts, products, leads, undone activities) to a new active owner.
In order to access this feature, you need to have account settings access (the rights to access user management). More information on how to delete a user can be found here.

Hi @tomb thanks for the feedback. Currently indeed, as a user is deleted, all his personal details are deleted as well (including name). In regards of changing the deactivated users name/profile picture, it is not possible to change the details without logging in as the user.

Hi @tomb , not sure if I understand correctly, but the user profile should still exist under user management and under deactivated users tab. There is no possibility to change the name itself for the deactivated user, but you can entirely delete that user.

Users email addresses that they were using are not existing anymore. So its not possible login as user (to change name or remove user profile image). We dont know deactivated users passwords and login emails are not working anymore.
We dont want to delete users, just rename them and remove profile images for privacy reasons.
