Stopping automated emails to deleted leads

Good day

How do I make sure that Leads that have been cancelled / deleted and or moved to another deal stage do not receive the automated emails? I have deleted leads, however, the leads contact person keep receiving the automated emails?

Please advise?

    Hey John, it is possible that your automation sends to these contacts from the time it entered a stage. Regardless of the stage, it seem to be focused on sending an email to such contacts.

    I guess you need to edit your email Automation to only send emails when the contacts are related to a Lead / Deal in certain stage.
