I would like to have fully automated thank you emails. I understand it is not possible. Please consider for future development.

Our events are usually a month after we have moved a client to WON. We have a custom date field in the deal. The day after the event date, we want to send them an automated thank you email. I understand we can trigger it when a client is moved to WON, but I don't want to do that. I want it sent after the event date.

For example, I book a hotel room on a certain date, but I do not get the thank you email until after I stay there.

    While Pipedrive doesn’t natively support delayed actions, you can achieve this using Pipedrive’s automation features with a little creativity. Here’s a rough step-by-step guide to setting this up:

    Step 1: Create a Custom Field for Event Date

    1. Go to Settings > Customize Fields.
    2. Select Deals and click Add Custom Field.
    3. Create a custom date field called "Event Date".

    Step 2: Set Up Automation to Schedule an Activity

    1. Go to Workflow Automation in the Pipedrive menu.
    2. Click Create new workflow.
    3. Set the trigger to Deal is moved to a certain stage and choose WON.
    4. Add a condition: If "Event Date" is set.
    5. Add an action: Create an activity.
      • Activity Type: Task
      • Due Date: Event Date + 1 day
      • Subject: "Send Thank You Email"

    Step 3: Set Up Automation to Send an Email When the Activity is Marked as Done

    1. Go back to Workflow Automation.
    2. Click Create new workflow.
    3. Set the trigger to Activity marked as done.
    4. Add a condition: If Activity Type is "Task" and Subject contains "Send Thank You Email".
    5. Add an action: Send email to participants.
      • Customize the email with your thank you message.
