The latest update to the Pipedrive mobile app for Android includes the beta version of the new business card scanner feature. To use it, tap on the main ”+” button and then tap on ”Contact scanner.” Your device’s camera will capture the card details automatically and allow you to convert them to a new lead.

hi @Manuel Oliveira are there any plans to bring this feature to iOS? Our clients keep requesting this.

Hi @Nikolai Sokolov it's not planned for the very near future, at least, feel free to add the request in the Ideas and Product Feedback section. The more comments and upvotes a request has, the more likely it is to be prioritized for development.

Is it just me, but does this feature not work yet? I exhibited at Elelctronica in MĂĽnchen a few weeks ago and tried scanning business cards as they came in. Not one card scanned correctly. The data fields were a total jumble with company names landing in country fileds etc etc. Phone number and email addresses were mostly ignored. I tried about 30 cards. Umlauts were completely ignored. Totally 100% useless.
Did PD even field test this feature before releasing it?

Hello @Thomas.Dahl.
We are sorry to hear about your experience, and we really appreciate your feedback.
As this is a relatively new feature, our team is constantly updating and tweaking the scanner's performance. If you could share some examples (of the card and how the data was added to Pipedrive) with our support team, they can forward them directly to the product team for evaluation.
