Newsletter web form issue

Hi,

New Pipedrive user here….I'm trying to collect newsletter subscribers on my website using a PD webform. From what I can see, the only option (under the Submit Options tab, Saving Preferences) is to save anyone completing the form as either a Lead or a Deal. I don't want to save these contacts as this as they're not qualified as a lead yet, we're just keeping them warm.

Is there a way to save contacts subscribing this way just as a contact?
thanks for any recommendations!

    Hi @Pip Evan-Cook,

When you receive a new form submission in Pipedrive, it can be automatically created as either a lead or a deal. This lead or deal will also generate a new contact record associated with it. This is helpful for keeping track of new inquiries and separating them from your existing contacts.

    Here's the benefit:

    • Organized Follow-Ups: New submissions become leads or deals, allowing you to prioritize and track follow-ups more effectively.
    • Clear Contact Separation: New contacts are linked to their respective deals/leads, keeping them separate from your general contact list. This simplifies filtering and avoids confusion.

Additionally, you can leverage Pipedrive's labeling system within the lead/deal record to further categorize these new contacts (e.g., "Cold Lead"). This provides quick identification without needing to search through the entire contacts module.

Let me know if you have any questions or would like to explore these features further.
