Comments on notes open in panel to right hand side of note

I don't find the current comment on notes system user friendly. We have long notes which we have to scroll down. Often you can forget to select the expand comments arrow so you have to scroll back up to get it, then scroll down again. I often collapse the note instead of the comments. I know it's not easy to find the perfect solution, but could the comments open up to the right of the note? The main note would be narrower to allow for this. Could there at least be an option on how to display comments?
