The main activity of my company is outsourcing. When forming a price proposal, we apply many conditions that are not currently considered in the product catalog:

  • Market / Country (Domestic, Global)
  • Tariff rate (15-30%)
  • Category (Contingency, Retained, RPO)
  • Work mode (Full-time, Part-time)
  • Work arrangement (On-site, Remote, Hybrid)
  • The base amount to which we apply the tariff rate is calculated from the salary of the specialists who will perform the work.

I propose adding more variability, specifically by making product fields editable in deals. This would solve two problems:

1. the product could be used with services (not only for goods with a fixed price).
2. it would enable analysis of all product variations.

There are similar features in Salesforce: Product Conditions and Percentage of Total Price.

I figured out that part of the solution to this problem can be achieved by adding custom fields to the deal and then applying an arithmetic formula. It's strange that commission-based deals are not available by default. I’ll try to write a webhook to perform these calculations on my own server because switching to a different plan just for simple arithmetic seems excessive.
