Leads and contacts

Why are the leads sections not automatically populated from my contact list? I just want to convert some of my contacts to leads, is there an easy way, and not one time bulk, to do this"?

    I am trying to find the same answer.  Did you ever find out?  

    My goodness... I mean that is the most basic thing in any CRM and I can't get help or figure out how to do this.

    You will need to export the list [into excel] and then import it into leads.

    There is currently no way to automate this, but this is something that should come down the pipeline [hopefully soon...]

    I just re-exported the list into Leads and still nothing....any advice? Or, how to I move my contacts to a lead, it is not readily obvious?

    Im testing it right now and I can’t believe that these basics are not included. Considering to cancel Pipedrive after testing.
