Fields relating to Contacts - Define mandatory fields in a given funnel

Neeaconsulting as a Pipedrive partner and provides a lot of support to customers. There is a request that is very important and recurring: the possibility of creating a contact field and defining it as mandatory from a certain stage of the funnel or when a deal is considered won.

When you make a contact field mandatory, it is then defined as mandatory when entering the contact. Does not make sense! There are contact fields that only make sense to be filled in later.

    Hi @Ana Santos you can set up deal fields to be required when a deal reaches a certain stage. You can find the details in this knowledge base article.

    Required fields are specific to deals and not contacts. The reason is that the same contact can have multiple deals in multiple stages.

    I know that a contact field can be on multiple deals, however, it is important that we can also mark contact fields as required.
    Example: A deal can only be considered a win if the deal contact has the date of birth field filled in.
    How is it possible to do this?

    I've been trying to see if there was a way to make this happen but as far as I know, this is not possible to do. Ideally, here, we would have a required field for contacts that would work alongside deals and create the idea of "If X field is not completed, deal status can't be updated" so this is excellent feedback to share with our Product Developers - feel free to post it in the "Ideas and Product Feedback" section so users can upvote it.

    A potential workaround here would be to make sure that once those contacts are added, they have the information needed. In your scenario, if you make the "date of birth" field marked as required, it will be completed when adding a new person or creating a new person when adding it directly from a deal/lead:
