Q: What's your thoughts on using humor to gain visibility?
A: The magic word is always balance. Humoristic content often gets much engagement, but you need to alternate with more serious content as well. Daniel Disney's content is a good example of this: Daniel Disney on LinkedIn.
Q: How to share links best, to not lose reach, e.g., to promote a podcast episode on Spotify and YouTube?
A: Adding an external link directly in a post affects your post visibility, as LinkedIn wants people to stay on LinkedIn. A good practice is to include a description of the topic you discuss in the podcast episode, tag your guests, and write "Link in the comments" at the end of your post. You can then add the link to your podcasts in the comments. Adding a picture to the post will also increase engagement.
Q: What is best, writing in your country language or in English?
A: Ultimately, the choice depends on your goals, target audience, industry, and personal preferences. Consider the following:
- Target Audience: If you are primarily connecting with people who speak your local language, then writing in that language may be more beneficial. If your connections are more international, English may be a better choice.
- Industry and Job Market: Some industries prefer English as the language of communication. If you work in a field where English is dominant, having your profile in English can make it more accessible.
- Global Reach: English is widely spoken for business and professional communication globally. Having your profile in English can help you reach a broader audience.
- SEO and Searchability: If you want your profile to be more discoverable on LinkedIn and by recruiters, having it in English can be advantageous.
Q: Is it more effective to post a blog directly on LinkedIn, or to publish it on our website and share the link on LinkedIn?
A: LinkedIn's algorithm favors content that keeps users on LinkedIn. If you add an external link to your post, the visibility will be affected. The best practice is to write a post about the same topic and then add the link to your website's blog in the comments.
Q: Does deleting older posts affect the performance of the new posts?
A: Deleting old posts does not have a specific effect on newer posts. A piece of content on LinkedIn has more visibility in the first 3 days and is usually "forgotten" by the algorithm in 2 weeks, so deleting old posts is not necessary.
Q: DAVID - can you list the enrichment providers used to ?
A: Apollo, DropContact, Hunter, RocketReach, PeopleDataLabs, Zerobounce
Q: In your experience, are screenshots of webpages successful?
A: Do you mean screenshots to add to posts? I need more clarification on this before answering.
Q: Does having one profile for your business and one personal make a difference?A: Yes, it does. It is usually better to post with your personal profile to build your network and create a sense of trust. A company page drives less engagement than a personal one but is important for adding credibility to your company and sharing useful content.
Q: Are there any keyword extensions you would recommend?
A: If you mean keyword research, there are a few tools such as Keyword Surfer and Keywords Everywhere. They both have a free version.
Q: Do you purge/delete your posts?A: No. Normally posts perform and are visible in the first 3 days, and the average lifespan is 2 weeks.
Q: are paying for linkedin ads worth it and how do you decide who to target
A: It might be worth it, but it’s essential to weigh the potential benefits against the costs.
Q: how do we strike a balance between posting about personal/life stuff and 'selling' or informational
posts?
A: That's a tricky one. In general, I would recommend you to not sound too sellsy, talking about your product and solution. You can post about your product but on the user perspective. What is the pain point your product helps to solve? What challenges do your users usually face? When you think about personal experience, try to find a link to something related to your work, it makes it much more relatable. However, learning how to balance takes time and practice.0 -
Q: By post in the morning, you mean which time zone morning? ;)
A: It always depend on your target audience. If you are based in Europe but you target mainly US contacts, then you will need to post early in the afternoon. Lunch time also works quite well.Q: How often I should post - everyday once or thrice or twice per week?
A: You should post at least 3 times a week.Q: What the heck is a carousel?
A: A LinkedIn carousel is a content format that viewers swipe through to see multiple images or videos within a single post, like a flipbook. Here is an example: LinkedIn Carousel Example.
Q: Do posts with emojis perform better?
A: Emojis don't have a direct impact on performance but might grab more attention if not used too much.
Q: We are concentrating on Linkedin but are the best practices cross platform?A: LinkedIn can be used to do your research, engage with your prospects and gather elements to customise your approach via email or phone. Here you have an example on how to outreach using LinkedIn and cold calling:

Q: When using video, what form is best, i.e. square, vertical or horizontal
A: Both vertical and horizontal work quite well.
Q: What does "too promotional" mean?A: It means talking too much about how great your product or company are. Focus on your audience pain points that you help solve, not on the solution you sell.
Q: So. Emojis 👋. Are they too much or actually useful?A: Emojis grab more attention, and your content gets more views. Better to not use too many emojis as they might distract from your content.
Q: I am posting from the company page, not from my personal page, which one is better ?
I would recommend you to post on both, but privilege your personal page. People now want to buy from people. Use your content as a way of sharing your expertise, your learnings and a bit of your personal life too. The company page is there mainly for brand awareness.Q: How do you create the picture easily and quickly?
A: A banner picture? Question not clear, I would need some additional info to reply.
Q: Can we learn HOW to create a picture and how to upload the picture (and text)?
A: In what context? I might need more information here.
Q: How often do you post so as to be consistent but not annoying?
A: Minimum 3 times a week.
Q: How much does it matter whether you use a static photo and text, with URL, or post the URL and let it display the horizontal display of the associated banner image and title of the target page?
A: I am not sure to understand this question. Would you mind rephrasing it?
Q: What is a carousel?
A: A LinkedIn carousel is a content format that viewers swipe through to see multiple images or videos within a single post, like a flipbook. Here is an example: LinkedIn Carousel Example.
Q: In terms of approach, is there a difference between building your personal profile and your business profile?
A: If you only publish content related to your product and services, or repost content from your company, you become less relatable for your audience. Purely business content shows you as an employee, not as a person. It is important to balance personal and professional content. Your network has to see you as a person, with your successes, failures, and learnings. This creates a sense of trust which is vital on LinkedIn. The best posts always take a personal experience and relate it to something work-related. Here is one example: Example Post.
Q: Can you do LinkedIn shorts/reels as content like you can on YouTube and Instagram? From Canada.
A: Not yet, but LinkedIn is launching this feature in the upcoming months.
