How to automatically send a series of emails to someone who has downloaded an ebook #GDPR ?
Hello,
I’ve created an ebook available for download on my company’s website via Webforms.
I would like to send a series of emails to everyone who downloads my ebook, by creating an automated email campaign (people will be able to unsubscribe if they wish).
My issue is that it's not possible to set the ‘marketing’ status to subscribed in the automations.
According to Pipedrive, the only solution is to add a checkbox within the form to obtain consent. However, we know that the majority of people won’t check the box.
Yet, on other sites, they display an explicit message without including a checkbox.
So, do you have a solution for me to set this up via Pipedrive, which is quite basic when it comes to lead generation?
Thank you so much for your help! 🙏

Hello Florent,
As Campaigns is not intended to be used for cold emails/lead generation, getting explicit consent from the recipient, where they have voluntarily signed up to receive these emails, is advised as a best practice not only for your sender's reputation but for maximum deliverability and results.
Generally, recipients who have knowingly signed up for the emails are more likely to open the emails and engage with them, as opposed to the ones automatically added to the mailing list, where they might not open the email or even report it as spam, which affects your sender's reputation.
You can still send emails using the email sync function to these recipients, but the drawback here is that you will not be able to offer the option to unsubscribe for the recipients.
Alternatively, you could explore third-party webforms that integrate with Pipedrive or even tools like Google Form connected to Pipedrive with tools Zapier or Make to create the contact as subscribed, given your have mentioned in the form they will be contacted for marketing purposes and it would be also ideal if you can share as much details as possible in account reviews to ensure a smooth experience.
