Super-User Authority to Unlink Emails

We are continuing to have problems with emails getting linked to the wrong Deals, which is hugely affecting our work.
I understand all of the rules of how this happens, and I am also aware of how to Unlink them.
However, the big issue that we have is that only the Sender/Receiver has the authority to Unlink the emails.
As there are often 10 to 12 persons c.c.’d on emails is takes a very long time to track down exactly who can unlink the email.
What would really help is if it was possible for an assigned Super User/Administrator to have the ability to Unlink any emails that we come across that are incorrectly linked.
Even if this meant getting the approval/authority from colleague to do this with their emails.
I flagged this issue over a year ago.
Is there any possibility of getting this resolved??

Has there been work on this? I seem to have permissions to reassign emails from other users as the admin; however, I do not see where I can give others the ability. Is there a way to have multiple people be able to update the links to emails within deals.
The number of emails that link the wrong deal is disruptive and "noisy" to business. We understand how the linking occurs and how it can link inaccurate; however, not being able to unlink ones when found is disruptive. Either the original owner of that email has to be tracked down (which mentioned above can take time when you have a dozen people involved) or I have to be notified. It would be best for our team to be able to assign additional permissions to individuals to relink emails within their deals. Thank you!
