Is it possible to send emails from someone else's sender address in my business unit?

As a group of consultants we use Pipedrive as our CRM and Sales tool.

As a marketing manager, I would like to set up a campaign in which I use the consultants linked email accounts to send emails in their name and with their sender address to contacts assigned to them.

How can I set this up?

In the automations tool I can only choose the person triggering the action as a sender address.

For example:

  • Marketing Manager (Global Admin): Bruce Wayne
  • Consultant (Pipedrive User assigned contacts): Peter Parker
  • Contact (assigned to Peter Parker): Clark Kent
  • As Bruce Wayne, I would like to set up a campaign in which Peter Parker sends an email to Clark Kent promoting product A. Peter Parker should only get involved into the process as little as possible.

Thank you!

    Hey @FSchaudienst,

It will not be possible to trigger the automation on other behalf at the moment, and if you wish the email to be sent directly from the owner, then the automation should be shared with them, and the trigger has to come from their account.

So, if the trigger to start the automation is when the deal stage changes, then the owner would need to change the stage from their account in order for the email to be sent from their email address.

    Hello @FSchaudienst,

If you are using Campaigns specifically in the automations, we will not be able to customise or specify the sending address within the automation; the emails will always be sent from the default sender address.

But if you send emails through the email sync function, you will be able to set up the automation for other users, so that the email will be sent from the person who triggers the automation. I can share this article that goes into detail about the settings.

    Hi @Tony Xavier,

    Thank you for sharing!

So I can only share the automation with other users, but they will have to trigger the automation to run? I cannot start the automation for others/in their name?

I want to send email addresses from our sales team members to the clients owned by each member in their name.

    Thank you!

    Thank you @Tony Xavier!

And there is also no work around with another app like Mailchimp or similar?
