Best practice for working with an external PM software?

I am trying to set things up as best as possible from the beginning.

Our process is as follows:

  • Receive lead, enter in pipedrive
  • Once lead is qualified, create deal and begin sales process
  • Once a deal is won, we will create a project in either ASANA or TRELLO or MONDAY

At the moment, "we" is just me. But that will hopefully change in the future.

Should we use the external project management app to handle all tasks? Or focus on having sales related tasks on Pipedrive and then move the after sales stuff to the PM?

Hoping to get some feedback from people who have been down this road.

    Hi,

I recommend having all sales related tasks in Pipedrive - this way all your email communications and meetings can be tracked within the contact/deal through email and calendar sync.

While we at SaaShop love Asana, if you have not chosen a project management software yet, I recommend trialing the Pipedrive projects add on. Since it is currently just you, and will most likely be a small team for some time, it may be easier to keep everything in one place and only adding additional software (and charges) when necessary. The biggest draw of Asana is collaboration across one or many teams.

As an Elite Pipedrive partner, I would be happy to discuss your options available to meet your needs. Feel free to email me at franki@saashop.com

Projects does not have mobile. You'd be better off just creating a different pipeline for sold deals.

That's an interesting approach, we have a lot of other tasks within the business though. I would love to have all my project and general business tasks in one place. Seems like going to Asana would be the best bet for us.
