How can I prevent my sales managers from marking a deal as 'lost' with no activity in the deal?

I am facing a situation where sales managers simply mark deals as 'lost' with zero activity in the deal and adding as the lost reason "user not responsive" for example.

Is there a way to add conditions, i.e. X number of activities or X number of emails sent, phone calls made etc. before it is possible to mark a deal as lost?

I would like to add activity related conditions before anyone can mark a deal as lost.

Thank you!

Hi @CodeMonkeyBZ , you could create an automation that will re-open the deal if there are no activities or if there are not enough emails. For example something like this:

It won't prevent them from losing the deal, but it will immediately reopen it. You can add an extra action in the automation and add a note in the deal saying "You need to work on this more before you can lose the deal!"

Thanks Henrikka! This is a nice solution - I will give it a try and see the reaction of the sales people when the deals they closed will reopen with such a comment :-)
