Order of seperating First and Last Name
Hi,
I’ve noticed that when I fill in the Person field in Pipedrive, the system automatically splits the name into First Name and Last Name fields. However, in Hungarian, names are written in reverse order (Last Name first, First Name second). This causes the names to be assigned incorrectly.
Is there a way to adjust this behavior through settings or any other workaround to ensure Hungarian names are correctly assigned to the respective fields withouth manual rewriting?

Pipedrive doesn’t currently offer a built-in setting to automatically adjust the order of names based on language conventions, but there are a few possible workarounds:
1. Use a Custom Workflow Automation (Professional & Higher Plans)
If you have access to Pipedrive’s Workflow Automation, you can create an automation that swaps the First Name and Last Name fields when a new contact is created. Here’s how:
- Go to Tools and apps > Workflow Automation.
- Create a new automation triggered when a Person is added.
- Add a step that updates the Person by swapping the values of First Name and Last Name.
2. Use a Third-Party Integration (Zapier or Make)
You can use Zapier or Make (formerly Integromat) to automate the correction:
- Trigger: When a new person is added.
- Action: Swap the values of the First Name and Last Name fields.
- Update the person in Pipedrive.
3. Manually Enter Names in Reverse Order
If automating isn’t an option, you can enter Hungarian names manually in "First Name" and "Last Name" in the correct order based on how Pipedrive processes them.
4. Use a Custom Field for Full Name
Another approach is to create a Custom Field called "Hungarian Name" where you enter the full name in the correct order, keeping the First Name and Last Name fields as they are for system compatibility.
