Can i block editing on a deal after the dealmade is made?

I'm looking for a way to block the team from editing the closed opportunity after the dealmade; as a plan B I thought of maybe an automation to alert specific users if a change is made. Didnt find pre existing topics on this subject but this is my first question here (I apologize if the topic already exists)

Pipedrive doesn’t have a built-in option to prevent editing closed deals, but here are two possible solutions:

Option 1: Adjust User Permissions (If available in your plan)

• Go to Settings > User Management > Permissions and check if you can restrict editing for won or lost deals based on user roles.
• The availability of this feature depends on your Pipedrive plan.

Option 2: Set Up an Automation Alert (Plan B)

If blocking edits isn’t possible, you can create an automation to notify specific users when a closed deal is modified:

1. Go to Automations > Create a new automation.
2. Trigger: "When a deal is updated."
3. Condition: "Deal status is 'Won' or 'Lost'."
4. Action: "Send an email or Slack notification" to relevant users.

This won’t prevent edits, but it helps track and control changes to closed deals. 🚀

Hi Alex! Thanks for the reply, it seems that the first option is really not available, at least for out current plan (I didnt find any confirmation that it's available at all) and I will be following up with the plan B automation! thanks, have a good one!
