Duplicate Contact

We may have a unique situation but it would be very beneficial if there was an option to duplicate a contact. This would allow us to create a new contact with the same notes and files of the original contact, without deleting the original contact. This is important to us as in our business, we have clients moving into homes with one or more of our products and it is important to keep track of service history of those products. Also as the original homeowner moves to a new home, they may contact us again for another product in their new home and that is also important to know.

Hi @londonawnings thank you for describing the context. If I understand it correctly, you should be able to manage this if you keep the contact (person and/or organization) but create separate deals for it. Your contact will keep the history of all the deals done before.

Thank you Manuel. But will the new client (new deal) still show history (notes and files) from original client?

When you save a client in Pipedrive as a person or organization (also known as contacts), you can then create multiple deals for that contact without having to delete anything and still keep track of the deal history inside the contact. But you can’t see the details of one deal inside a different deal.
