How to split deal credit?

Our salespeople often collaborate on deals. We'd like to track this in Pipedrive, so that they are properly credited with the deals they've won or been a part of. I've seen a few suggestions here, such as:

  • create custom field with tags
  • create custom field with Pipedrive user field-type (not sure how the reporting would need to be set up to show the split credit)

I am wondering if the Teams feature might be useful. Can a Team be assigned as a deal owner?

    Hey @Jonathan Wharton !

    Custom fields would be the better option because the default Teams feature allows you to utilise them only on the Deals filters and Insights (Reports). Furthermore, it uses the default User type, meaning it doesn't account for custom fields.

    With custom fields, you have a better option for building filters and reports via insights.
