Sakari SMS Integration - Managing activities

We integrated Sakari with Pipedrive -using the marketplace app.

The timeline display configuration option (in Sakari) was set both as Activity or Notes. In both cases, our sales staff calendars got filled with hundreds of SMS entries. The only option we saw to not fill up calendars with this SMS was turning off the timeline display option.

Can we have the timeline display, so that our sales staff can quickly follow a conversation, without filling up our calendar with SMS events?

I know that in the events view in PD, one can turn off some events. It works great there. The problem is that our sales staff uses their own calendars -outside PD, and there we see, literally, hundreds of SMS entries, making the calendar unusable —see screenshot showing just a couple of hours in a day of a team member's calendar. It's filled with SMS entries.

In the integration you've set up between Sakari and Pipedrive, there should be an option to specify which activity type SMS messages are logged as—correct?

If that's the case, a helpful workaround would be to create a custom activity type specifically for SMS messages. You can follow the steps in this article to create one:

Once the custom activity type is created, update the Sakari integration to log SMS messages under this new type.

From there, you can take advantage of Pipedrive’s filtering options to show or hide activities by type using quick filters:

Additionally, to prevent these SMS activities from syncing with your external calendar, simply uncheck the custom SMS activity type in your calendar sync settings:

With these changes, you and your team will be able to easily manage SMS activities—keeping them visible within Pipedrive as needed while preventing them from cluttering your external calendars.

This is a great suggestion, I'll bookmark it for future needs.

The problem I see with Sakari's integration is that the Sakari's app configuration options are very basic (see screenshot). I don't see the means to log the SMS messages under any custom type other than Activity and Notes.
