Cold email outreach via pipedrive
Hi Pipedrive Community,
I dont want to spend extra on email outreach tools such as yesware or mailshake. Will pipedrive soon have a "cold email outreach sequence" capability, where email outreach is scheduled? This feature is built in on other CRM like Contactually.
Here's a sample cold email outreach sequence I would like to do to.
- Day 1 – Email 1
- Day 2 – Call 1 (Leave Voicemail)
- Day 3 – Email 2
- Day 4 – Call 2 (No Voicemail)
- Day 5 – Email 3
- Day 8 – Call 3 (Voicemail)
- Day 11 – Email 4
- Day 15 – Email 5
- Day 21 – Email 6
- Day 35 – Email 7
- Day 50 – Email 8
By the way, what I'm trying to do is email outreach not marketing email.

@Randall Pena great question. This is something we are looking into actively. I can't say when and what to expect, but it's definitely on our product requirement radar.

I hope it would have a reply detection so it would stop the sequence once reply has been received.

Thanks @Randall Pena for bringing this up again! This / outbound sequences (think Outreach, Salesloft) is a also a crucial feature I have asked about quite often in the past. Inbound is great but lots of us are doing outbound, so again looking forward to a native Pipedrive feature. Keep it up.

Just looking for the same feature and wanted to check when we can expect this email sequences functionality to be live.
This is an essential feature for a sales CRM like Pipedrive and I think this should be available to the users.

Hi @Randall Pena. Just a week ago Manuel posted here in the community that we've launched a workflow automation delay feature, which allows you to create drip sequences.
This is the first step toward fully automated outreach sequences, and the team is working on functionality to bolster outreach email functionality. One very important feature is email reply tracking so that the sequence can be stopped when the customer replies to one of the emails in the chain.
Please take a look at the delays and let me know if that does the job!

Thanks for sharing a link to that workflow automation post; awesome to see progress made on this front.
It has been about 4 months since that post was shared so I was wondering if any additional progress has been made toward having proper cold email outreach in Pipedrive.
I know that Capaigns are a rea thing now but reply detection is the critical piece that seems to still be missing (or maybe I just can't find it?)

Hey Randall, I just came back to PipeDrive as I am looking for this exact feature. I was signed up with HubSpot, but they do not have this specific automation sequences....well they do but you have to spend $600/mth.
So now using PipeDrive and I noticed they added an automation function in which you can do this. Have you checked it out?

Hi @Jeff G. it's actually just a work around hack not the same as what you would get with mixmax, yesware, klenty, outreach, salesloft, apollo.io, hubspot (upper tier), etc.
It has no real "sales engagement automation" feature. Check Sales Engagement Software in G2.
Business workflow or process automation (what pipedrive have) is not the same as sales sequence or sales outreach automation.
I need to create unlimited sales outreach sequence.
I really hope and pray that they would have it soon so we dont have to get a dedicated Sales Engagement software.

I'd like to bump this up also - we're exploring Hubspot because this feature is so crucial for out outbound.
The community has been pretty vocal since 2020 about this. We entered into a trial with Hubspot last week and the only thing stopping us pulling the trigger is migration.
That said if this feature isn't on the horizon soon we will make the switch.

I wanted to bump this thread as well. I'm coming from Freshsales which had this tool out of the box. Frustrating that I can't recreate that workflow in Pipedrive.
The ability to do drip campaigns with reply detection — and importantly click tracking in a way I can convert a click → a lead is critical to me. The regular email feature is limited to what my email service allows and the campaigns function doesn't have the reply / click detection. Would love to see this implement in PD.

While our automations feature is not fully equipped to facilitate drip campaigns, we have introduced Reply Tracking for email automations. With this feature, you can track the replies to emails sent through automations using email templates.
You can learn about the option here in depth. I hope this helps.
