Managing my sales team I am seeing deals move all over the pipeline
e.g. from the second to last stage back to the first one. Do you have an easy way to identify those? Would that be possible through a special report?

Not in the UI easily unfortunately, but you can use the API to get details from deals to see the history of it. Inside Pipedrive you can see it in the deal details view for example in the changelog.
