Using email templates, can we assign Deal/Contact fields to the 'To:' field....?

I want to build email templates linked to a deal, but where the email does not go to the deal contact. By default, the email brings up the deal contact field in the 'To:' field. I want the template to insert another field; eg the deal Owner field - can't seem to find a way of doing this?

    Thanks for sharing. Depending on your need you can actually use our workflow automation to send email templates also to your deal owner. This GIF shows how. Otherwise it's unfortunately something from the detail view you have to fill in manually.
