Unlink an email

I am new to Pipedrive and in the process and in the process of linking synced emails.  I get emails from the same email address that is specific to a contact, but is not from that contact.  I selected a specific email to link to a contact, but it linked all of the emails from that address to the client.  Is there a way to revers a link and specify only this email?
