Ok, So we are getting started with Mailigen and I have a question about if something can be accomplished.

We will have a newsletter that goes out and we want it to go to a group of people that originate from pipedrive and also that originated from an imported spreadsheet directly into mailigen because we don't want a segment of those contacts in pipedrive.

Is that possible?

Does it cause any inconveniences on our end?

Thank you

    Hi!

Thank you for your question! The short answer is - yes, that can be accomplished. But let's get into some details.
You will be able to sync contacts from your Pipedrive account to a list in Mailigen by using the sync bot. After the contacts have been synced, you can upload a spreadsheet with the other contacts in the same list on Mailigen's side. You won't have to create a segment on Pipedrive's side, however, you do have an option to create segments just on Mailigen's side, so this can come in handy at some point. This process shouldn't cause any troubles on your end. Just chose the best path for your situation and if you are uncertain about anything, just message one of our support agents and they will gladly assist.

Hmm, Im using Integromat + Sendpulse for this. In Sendpulse, I created an email marketing template. In Pipedrive I created customers filters. Then I've used Integromat to send this Sendpulse template with the customer name in the e-mail body over the customers filters I had created.

thanks for the explanation @Dzintra . It what ways would it come in handy to segment them in the case of capturing some from pipedrive and others from a spreadsheet to this email campaign? If you don't mind explaining.

Also, Do I have to do them in the order of sync with pipedrive first and then import the other to mailigen and if I did it in reverse does that create a problem?

You can do it in any order you wish, that shouldn't create any problems.
Regarding the segmentation, that is just something that you can keep in mind as an option for later use - not specific to this situation in particular.

Ok, so in the case of the contacts that were synced from pipedrive it will still note in their record that the email was opened, etc. ? It's just for the ones in that list where there exists no record there won't be any record of the interaction in pipedrive, correct? Will there be a record in mailigen for those that are not from pipedrive that it was opened, etc, and can automations be sent to resend if not opened in a certain about of time?

Exactly, you can set up the sync bot so that a note is created when an email is opened and you will also be able to see who has opened the campaign for the contacts that are only in Mailigen.

You will be able to create automation based on the campaign activity (opens, clicks). You can read how to do that here.
