Can we use our own ID's instead of Pipedrive's?

Hello i would like to make a suggestion for possible development. We use school government data and sync this over to Pipedrive, however, this data is regularly refreshed with newly opened or closed organisations, along with named staff changes etc. 

Updating this data means we cannot match the Pipedrive ID's to this data as it is like adding completely new data to the system every time, so would have to manually match each organisation with the pipedrive ID.

 

If we were able to use the Schools own Unique Reference Numbers (URN's) then we could easily pair and refresh the data easily.

    Hi @Kevin Thomas_33822 , if you mean modifying the Pipedrive system ID granted to each type of object (deals, person, organisation, etc) that is not possible for technical reasons. Alternatively, you can create one or more custom fields to store the schools' reference numbers.
