CLOSED WON/LOST deals won't leave my pipeline view?

I'm a new user and just imported a bunch of data from Zoho. To get around some Zoho 'quirks' I created a Closed Won and Closed Lost stage in the sales pipeline and imported all our closed deals into those stages. 

Now I'm trying to get all those deals out of the pipeline, but they won't leave! Pipedrive shows me the deals are closed (won or lost) but they're all still showing in the pipeline stage... which means I can't delete that stage to clean up the pipeline. I must be missing something....

Bulk update the status of these deals to Won and Lost.

In Pipedrive, Deal Status and Pipeline Stages are different.
