Mailigen for cold email outreach drip campaigns

I'm evaluating alternatives to reply.io that integrate with Pipedrive. My question is whether Mailigen can operate in the same capacity as reply.io - uploading my email contacts, sending text-based emails (which look like they are being sent from my personal email address) via a drip campaign. 

The sense I get is Mailigen is more in line with Mailchimp or other email/newsletter marketing platforms. 

 

Any insight from current users or Pipedrive folks is welcome.

    @Bill Handy that is correct - Mailigen is permission based or opt-in email marketing tool, like Mailchimp and can not be used for cold emails like Reply.io or similar platforms are. 
    The main difference is that Mailigen has shared email infrastructure and it's reputation is shared, if cold emails get reported as spam then many customers are affected, on the other hand cold emailing tools use your own email outbox.
