Import leads doesn't trigger sending emails

Hi, I created an automation action, and the trigger is "Lead created"..

 

It works fine when leads are added manually, but everytime when I import them, the action is not triggered. 

Anyone experienced this issue?

    Hello Artem,

    Importing data into your Pipedrive account does not trigger any actions within Workflow Automation, even ones associated with creating or updating information in the Pipedrive account.

    but why?  

    Can I bypass it? Otherwise it will take a lot of time for our sales person to send emails

    It was implemented like this to avoid Workflow Automations triggering accidentally because of imports, alongside other concerns.

    Thanks, I will, just curious, what If we add new leads via REST API ? Will it trigger automation events?

    Yes, that should work just fine. At the moment imported items are the only items that shouldn't trigger Workflow Automations :)
