Support Deal Autocomplete field for Insights

Is there a specific reason why autocomplete custom fields cannot be used for insights?
We do have longer lists of selection where autocomplete is very useful, but not having the option to aggregate autocomplete data in insights based on such fields leads to a very bad tradeoff.
Any plans to incorporate this?
