Based on interviews with 75+ companies we believe this BETA version will already help many of you. We also recognise many great things are missing and we will continue to improve the functionality the coming months and years.
Some of the short term things that are already being worked on is:
- The ability to add files to your project
- The ability to write notes in projects and have discussions on them with your team
- Manually rearranging the order of activities in your project plan
Long term we plan to develop this area based on your feedback, some of the bigger pieces we hear about from you today are (in random order)
- Grouping of activities based on stages of the project
- Dependencies
- Gantt-chart
- Custom project fields
- Emails in a project
- And much more

It's really nice to have the ability for working on projects on Pipedrive!
An important thing I would like to share is that in our company we follow the post sales process just like the pipeline and so this tool wouldn't work on us for our post sales process.
We are automatically duplicating the won deals and moving the duplicated ones to another pipeline called "Post Sales" which has the new stages of the process, that works more like a "trello" board and helps our team to get in track during the manufacturing time and getting the customer updated by automatic mails just like e-commerce’s does when you by something (Deal Received! - In Approval - In Plaining - Manufacturing - Inspection - Good to go - Received).
After it we can see the time we spent on the whole process (Sales - Manufacturing - Delivering) for which deal and get some charts on our dashboards about those process.
I hope it can be useful for the development team!

Would love to try this out! I currently have onboarding through another pipedrive (when I mark a lead WON, they are created as another "deal" in our membership pipeline).

Thank you for the feedback. One of the main things we're thinking of end of this year and beginning of next is how we can get the stage like experience to projects as well. So stay tuned!

For clients, we use this onboarding pipeline to trigger a new list of activities. But onboarding or after-sales is not always a linear process which is where we need to get creative.
I can see by your notes below 'Grouping of activities based on stages of the project is already on the long term 'to do' list.
Internally we use Monday.com because we work with developers and multiple softwares that require a lot of steps and directional notes or wikis.
**Status and Priority identifiers would also be a nice touch. 🤔👋🏼 Looking forward to the BETA round and happy to help test if you need more guinea pigs ;-)

Important things to know:
- The new projects add-on is currently free to test in BETA. After the BETA period ends it will require an additional subscription (don't worry it's still months away). You will not be subscribed automatically.
- It's really really new still so some critical features are missing but join us, test us and share what's missing. We've formed a team internally to 100% focus on making Project management great for you and your team and your feedback will help us get there!
